There have been many learning experiences I have designed and worked on during my work at schools and on practical experiences. Whilst there have been many great experiences that I remember the best learning experience I remember was when I was teaching preps the basics about money. This is because during this lesson the kids were all involved in handling money, a concrete material, and were engaged and learning during the lesson. The reason for this is because students’ achievement in mathematics can be linked to manipulative materials (Post, T., 1981).
